Nintendo has confirmed that Disney Magical World 2 will arrive in the west later this year.

The follow up to the likeable Disney Magical World will allow players to explore worlds themed around famous Disney franchises – including the super-popular Frozen – as well as interact with characters such as Olaf, Elsa, Goofy, Ariel and many more besides.

Developed by Bandai Namco and released in Japan back in November 2015, the game is very similar to Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and offers hundreds of items – such as clothing and furniture – as well as the ability to ride in a boat. A boat, people.

Here’s the official PR:

Disney Magical World 2, the follow up to the popular franchise, lets players enjoy a variety of new adventures in six Disney-themed worlds, such as exploring the world of Disney Frozen, dancing with Disney princesses or soaring through special Magical Dream events. Players will encounter and interact with well-known characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Ariel, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck. The game launches Oct. 14.

With the 3DS line of systems entering what could be its final year as a viable commercial entity, it’s good to see that fresh software is still forthcoming. Will you be getting involved? Let us know by posting a comment.
