Solo: A Star Wars Story is out in a couple of weeks, but we’ve seen surprisingly little of the spin-off movie from a galaxy far, far away – and what we have seen has been treated with trepidation at best. It’s understandable given the love for the roguish Han Solo character, but fans will soon be put out of their misery with reviews coming very soon as Solo makes it Cannes Film Festival debut. Yes, believe it or not, but a Star Wars movie is screening at Cannes 2018 and as soon as the credits roll many a reviewer (including our own) will be rushing to write down their thoughts and let us know if we have another hit on our hands or if we should avoid it like the plague (fingers crossed for the the former). While Solo is a bit of a left-field film for Cannes, it will no doubt be one of the most anticipated screenings of the festival as it will be one of the first times critics get to see the film and the rest of the world waits with bated breath to discover theIR verdict. Make sure you check back on GR come Tuesday to find out what we think of Solo: A Star Wars Story. Lauren O’Callaghan
