Netflix has just announced a price rise across all its Australian plans, anticipating the arrival of the GST on digital products bought from overseas suppliers.

From today, Netflix’s Basic plan goes up to $9.99 from $8.99, the Standard plan (which adds in HD streaming and two simultaneous streams) rises to $13.99 from $11.99, and the Premium Plan (which offers four streams and up to UHD quality) sees an increase to $17.99 from $14.99.

Even with a limited amount of content compared to other territories, the price rise still leaves Netflix looking like a solid streaming option, especially for its ever-growing stable of unique content.

And by unique content I mean Marvel series, because yes I am a tragic Jessica Jones fanboy.
