Fire Emblem Heroes was released on smartphones about a year ago, and according to app tracker Sensor Tower, it has been a very good year.

In fact, Fire Emblem Heroes surpassed Mario Run in terms of revenue generated, even surpassing Animal Planet: Pocket Camp.

The game raked in almost $300 million during its first year, making it Nintendo’s most popular smartphone game to date (Pokemon Go doesn’t count since it’s made by Niantic/The Pokemon company).

One interesting stat: the game is far more popular in Japan than the rest of the world — Japanese gamers accounted for over 60% of spending.
