And oh boy, is it expensive!
Intel’s cache SSD Optane memory solution has only been available in 350GB models, but a new 750GB Optane SSD DC P4800X has become available, ahead of a likely 1.5TB model at some stage.
And it costs… well, a lot. We only have European pricing, but it’s a staggering 3000 Euro. A straight currency conversion places that at about $4500, but given the current 375GB card available here retails for about $2750, the added Australia Tax will see this new hardware cost well above $5000.
Intel’s Optane tech is aimed at big workstation grade workflows, and high-performance computing. It won’t really help you load PUBG faster.
