Nintendo is working on a paid online service for the Switch, which was originally meant to launch in Fall of 2017, but was delayed to 2018.

Now it appears that it’s going to be late 2018. That’s according to Nintendo’s Italian website, and if true, it could be a pretty big delay.

Nintendo has yet to give a specific release date or even a release time frame for their paid Switch online service. The company hasn’t specified what exactly players will get for their money, aside from online multiplayer and a free NES/SNES game per month.

But we do know that the service will be priced at $20 per year, which is much cheaper than the competing Xbox Live Gold and PS Plus services.
