Remember this one from earlier in the year? No? Well, now you can consider picking up a physical copy instead.

Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is a wonderful game, and one of the earlier stand-outs for 2017 before 2017 started to buckle beneath the weight of so many stand-outs.

It was great on the Master System and has been lovingly remade for modern systems. Notably with hand-drawn animation that we fear may now be getting ignored in a post-Cuphead world, but is lovely nonetheless.

A physical release should drop early next year for the PS4 and Switch, and while a fantastic romp on both, it really is a perfect fit for Nintendo’s new machine.
