Gamespot just recently had an interview with Resident Evil co-creator, Shinji Mikami, who expressed interest in a Switch version of The Evil Within 2, a title in which he was the producer. The title is set for release for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC within the next couple of weeks.
When asked about it he had this to say:
I think a Switch version would be interesting. I’d like to try it if I had the chance.
This isn’t exactly a confirmation but the interest is there. After seeing how great Doom seems to be running on the Switch.
It doesn’t seem too far of a stretch, especially when considering that The Evil Within 2 is published by Bethesda, who is completely on-board with the console/handheld hybrid: they’re releasing Skyrim, Doom, and Wolfenstein 2 on the Switch.
