Publisher/developer THQ Nordic recently commented on the Nintendo Switch and their possible support for it. The Austrian studio said that they have been “in touch with Nintendo for more than a year”, but that so far it hasn’t resulted in anything concrete.

And one reason might be that THQ Nordic doesn’t see the Switch as a powerful-enough console.

“We’ve been in touch with Nintendo about Switch for more than a year, so we’ve been looking at it for our current line-up” said THQ’s Reinhard Pollice, adding: “It’s a bit sad that they haven’t gone out with a more beefy hardware but it is what it is, so we just have to work our way around it.”

Pollice also added that they believe that the Switch will eventually replace the 3DS (something Nintendo has denied).

THQ Nordic released Darksiders on the Wii U in the past, and just this year released the Darksiders Warmastered Edition on the Wii U as well.

The studio has not made any official announcements about possible Switch games.
