Zelda: Breath of the Wild was all the talk at E3 2016 a few weeks ago. It was a gorgeous new Zelda game, but the first technical analysis revealed that the game had some trouble keeping its 30 fps frame rate. You can check out that tech analysis here.

Now the guys at Digital Foundry have posted a longer, 10-minute technical analysis of Breath of the Wild. They had more time with the game, but it’s still the unoptimized version, so the frame rate drops are still there.

The new analysis points out that while the game doesn’t hit 30 fps at all times in its current state, it’s still very impressive because it runs all the physics, weather effect, fire effect etc. on the screen at the same time.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild runs at 720p and (targets) 30 fps on the Wii U. The NX version will be running with improved visuals, as Nintendo confirmed.
